And while there are theories that having roots canals done to save dead teeth can in fact cause autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, I doubt your fillings are to blame. <br /><br />I also doubt they're actually mercury, since they stopped using that for most fillings close to thirty years ago, at least here in Buffalo. If they are, though, you should get them replaced.<br /><br /> Sigh. My mother is a smart woman thjat totally ignores reason when it comes to health as well. She thinks sunscreen and chemotherapy CAUSE cancer, and spends far more of her meager income on supplements from The Herbal Academy than she does on real food.
